30 days, 10 Gigabytes and over 200 Layers for Just One Image. Chris Crisman and His Team Get It Done for San Antonio Tourism.

Chris Crisman and his team recently completed a project for San Antonio Tourism with Rob Story and Proof Advertising out of Austin, Texas.  The campaign is titled Unforgettable San Antonio and on of the hero images is that of Buckhorn Saloon.  As the title of this post points out, the post production on this image alone took 30 days, required 10 gigabytes of storage and is comprised of over 200 layers.  And, as Chris points out, it feels unfair to compress one month of retouching into one minute worth of video, but it was the best way (and the most fun way) to share the scope of the process.

Impressive is the word that comes to mind.

Be sure to also link to Chris’ blog post about the process and his interview with his retoucher, Taisya Kuzmenko.
