Being a part of a community means speaking with one another, sharing information, and moving forward as a group. In a two-part episode of Dear Art Producer, I jump out of my usual format and record a live session with three guests, all working Art Production on the client-side. Episode 19A & 19B is hosted by the American Society of Media Photographers as a live event with a studio audience. In it, I speak with Suzee Barabee currently at Facebook, Kenneth Zane of Gap/Old Navy, and Shayla Love from Uber Eats.

The discussion covers some crucial topics for consideration: photographer performance metrics, behind-the-scenes videos, and the trend of still photographers enhancing their arsenal with directing credits. This episode would not have been complete without the audience participation. We held a Q&A at the event, fielding questions ranging from treatments to estimating to stills/motion as ingredients in the budget pie.
This weekly series shares conversations with Art Producers in Advertising, where together we can envision the future for this industry and take steps forward as a community. If you like the podcast, please do consider sharing it on social media and leaving a review on iTunes. We would love the help spreading the word.
And, if you are interested in being on the podcast, please email me at Heather@Heatherelder.com – we are still recording episodes.
