In an effort to promote the website FreelanceArtProducer.com, we have started Freelance Friday. The purpose is to promoting the freelancers on the site so as to gain more attention for them and the others trying to get hired. So, from now on, when a freelancer on the site provides us with a blog post, we will promote it on a Friday.

Where are you searching for photography or other content needs nowadays?
Lots of places…instagram/social media, rep sites, blogs, promos. So many choices these days! I like to keep a running list of favorites by category too, which is great to reference when starting on a search.
What are you known for in the art buying/producing world?
I think it would be finding the right talent for the job (my “lists” as referenced above!), being pretty easy going and fair, and my big laugh. 😉
Do you have a motto?
Lately it has been “not on my watch”, haha – I don’t even remember how it started but it kind of stuck. Just like to make sure things go smoothly.
How about a favorite place to produce a shoot?
I love shooting in NY since it’s my home town. And I had a fabulous shoot in Australia, so far that has been my other favorite. Always fun to discover new places.
If you decided not to art produce any longer, what would you choose to do?
That’s a great question and something I wish I had a better answer to. It seems to change all the time – travel photographer, baker, spa owner…hopefully one day I’ll figure it out!
How do you describe your job to your mom or someone else not in the industry?
These days to make it quick and easy I just say I’m a producer in advertising. If they want to know more about it I’ll get into some more detail though.
What are some surprising facts about you that you would like to share?
I’m a big hockey fan. Really good chocolate can bring me to tears. I’m a little obsessed with octopuses. Public speaking is my worst nightmare as I’m a bit shy sometimes. I’m not a big fan of driving (that’s the NY’er in me). 😉
What do you love about your job?
I really enjoy being on set and making sure everyone is happy. I like working with new photographers. Seeing a great finished product out in the world. I also like that our industry is so creative and so casual.
What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday?
While I love getting out and about in the SF Bay area where I currently live, especially where food, movies and museums are involved, I equally love just relaxing at home with my husband. 🙂
