Where are you searching for photography or other content needs nowadays?
Other than the typical resources I get engrossed in Instagram.
What are you known for in the art buying/producing world?
I’m re-entering the art buying/producing world, yet if my close friends in the industry were asked the question I would suspect: detail-oriented, thoughtful, skilled negotiator, easy to be around, is a team-player, has a keen sense of style, is able to think quickly/strategically and has a positive attitude.
Do you have a motto?
I have many… keep it simple, one day at a time, stay consistent, be kind-always, never give up, everything is a negotiation, anything is possible.
How about a favorite place to produce a shoot?
If you decided not to art produce any longer, what would you choose to do?
Full-time painter who is consistently traveling, selling my work and painting all over the world. Or, become a chef. I love to cook and and host intimate dinner parties.
How do you describe your job to your mom or someone else not in the industry?
Look at a magazine and depending upon whether I’m talking to her as an agency art buyer or photographer’s producer, I point to the ad and articulate in simplistic terms, “Mom, my team and I organized the efforts to make this ad come to fruition.”
What are some surprising facts about you that you would like to share?
I ran a marathon in 2007, I ran 8 half marathons in 2008 , I am a certified yoga instructor and I teach painting workshops.
What is the last piece of creative that caught your attention?
Olivia Bee’s work for Adidas- it brought me back to my days growing up playing basketball, softball, running track and the team spirit involved in every sport.
What do you love about your job?
Meeting people/making friends, being surrounded by creativity, negotiating, seeing a concept become reality, creating an environment for a photographer to captivate moments in time, creating memories.
What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday?
Starting my day in bed sipping black tea with my fave soy milk, reading and writing in my journal, enjoying a hot yoga practice or a run on the beach, painting on the beach along with a swim in the ocean, a trip to the farmer’s market, chilling on my couch listening to the palm trees whistle in the wind, cooking dinner for friends while listening to good music and taking a dip in the Jacuzzi.
